How to tek stryder transmitters work?

I put some black pearls in the transmitter, but there is no upload button or anything. I know stryders can't upload creatures, but where is the option to upload items? I tried putting items in the ark data tab but you can't do that. What am I missing?

It should work the same as an obelisk. It has an 'Ark Data' tab, and anything put into that inventory is considered uploaded, and should be available on other maps/at other terminals.

i can't put stuff in the Ark Data tab. at least i can't put black pearls in there.
