Place marker on the gound/target?

I've seen some videos where the player places a red marker on a target.

How to you enable that?

It's a whistle, the red one is "all attack this target" and it tells your tames to murder what you pointed at. Just press the period button while looking at something.

i wonder. i just made my own server after i hated official server.
when u call inn an attack u get a little marker mid screen. beside the red marker coming up.
it comes on all whistling commands. now on my server i dont get that marker. making it har to hit a creature far away...... any suggestions ?

I'm not sure if the config line ServerCrosshair=false has that effect or not, but it might be the cause. I also can't remember whether there is an option for it in the single player game settings - have a look for it, and if not, you can edit it to say 'true' in the gameusersettings.ini configuration file.

i have googled for an hour today and are restarting my server now to see if it is the crosshair option :D
