Best place to farm surface drops?

I'm on SP Aberration and I'm getting ready to fight Rockwell, but I need some good gear. And to get that good gear, I need to head to the surface. I can (and have) already headed to the surface but I want to know which section of the map is the best for farming the beacons.
The northwest area is small, so I don't think that's going to be the best place to farm. But I've never gone to the northeast surface area, so I'm just wondering if it's worth going over there with my drake and farming there instead of the southwest area (which I live incredibly close to).

That just shows me where everything is...
I want to know if it's more efficient farming in the northeast surface or the soutwest surface

In my experience, NE has hardly any drops at all. NW spawns beacons much more consistently and will net you more reward than NE.

However SE is the best imo. It only has marginally more frequent beacon drop than the north, and the larger area makes them roughly equivelant in terms of numbers. But the south seems to spawn much better quality drops - more yellow and red beacons as opposed to blue and purple - which makes it much more valuable.
