Your resource gathering techniques on the center.
Just wanted to see some ideas on how people go about collecting there resources efficiently and looking for ideas. Whether it be mod related vanilla or supper cheaty lol.

Ideas theories or certain items that are a b to get. Mostly looking for the center but all ideas are welcome.

My major issue on the center at the moment is gathering stone. Gathering it is simple but getting it home is another thing

Okay, pay attention because this is rather complicated. You have to be careful and make sure you don't mess up with the engrams while leveling up, otherwise this won't work.

When you reach lvl 2, you get the stone hatchet and then you go and hit rocks. That's how I get stone.

Try using a quetzal. Except for pearls, you want to use scuba for that. I don't think anyone understands what the problem you're having is without you explaining in further detail.

Small Dragons mod for me. Nice carry weight and fast flying speed.

Alternatively, Utility Saddles mod with a carry weight attachment on a quetz. Enables it to carry twice as much or more at higher levels.

That being said, recently I've taken to doing ground expeditions with my anky, bronto and a couple of big preds to protect them. Yes it isn't as fast or efficient as flying to collect the resources, but it's a whole lot more fun. Feels like a real adventure, traveling all that way across the Center's many rivers and back again, fighting off attacking dinos on the way.

With regard to stone specifically, I don't cart it back in bulk. I take a doed and a beaver out together, gather a lot and put it on the beaver (reduced weight when carried by them), then craft it all into the stone walls/foundations/whatever I need. Since the crafted elements usually weigh less than the materials that built them, they can then be shipped back on a heavy flyer relatively easily.

My method involves Dire Bears, a doed, and leveling the bears exclusively for weight.

I have three transport bears, Lady Lockbox, Leonbox, and Tifa Lockbox. They're where all decent bears in the wild, I think Lady lockbox was the lowest and she was still 118 or so, then I dumped all their level ups into weight. Now I ride the doed out, and whistle for the first transport bear to follow the doed, then jump on the bear and whistle for the next bear to follow it, etc. This creates a train of pets following me around as I attack the stones with the doed. When the doed gets full, I just move stones over to the bears. As long as you stay just shy of the limit where they loose their sprint, they can move the load around at a decent speed thanks to their momentum charge sprint ability.

Thats my method. I use a similar method for gathering metal, just replace the doed with an ankylo.

To respond to a few people asking i don't have a problem with the stones I'm referring to a most effective way of transporting all that weight back to a base far away without making it so tedious. I was just looking for people's ideas and what they do because well everyone has there own ideas. Some are better some aren't but its different ideas that make human progress not stupid ideas from people saying. ...ahh hit it with a pick.

I'm not saying I have issues with doing it to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ who posted that. I was simply curious about other people and there methods of transportation of mass quantities in this game.

Using the weight bug on the Quetz/anky combo.

Or as someone has stated - a farming party of a high Lvl dire bear on neutral with high Lvl weight beavers behind 2 mate boosted doeds. You do not have to go back to base. Craft and farm baby.

Normally I've never had a issue but on the center this time I'm deep in everything except stone. I hate the weight of it and transportation of it is a b. Although I think I might try the dino train idea with some beefed up beavers. I was just looking for a better more efficient way. It's like every time I go out as soon as I'm back its all used up. And I'm really getting board of swinging at little stones with the doed for hours.

I just use a miscellaneous dinosaur convoy to carry mined stone and travel in a loop.

Like I said, with the Beavers acting as basically a moving smithy there is no need to go back. Stone weighing less in beavers is a huge advantage. You will craft items a lot faster this way I can promise you that. Spam a thatch run before you do it and you're good to go.

A high Lvl bear on neutral is great for protection. Unless you walk straight into a wild giga or high Lvl alpha Rex xD

What are you crafting with it? If youre crafting stone structures then bring a beaver pre-loaded with thatch / wood. If you're crafting cement paste or spark powder then come with a foundation and mortar ready to be set down to craft it there.

I haven't played on the center since the big update, but you may want to look for spots that are super easy to farm and build a small base near it.

Beavers work, I just personally prefer the bears cause a high quality one even leveled exclusively for weight works as a body guard for the convoy too. Dat mean old Rex eyeballing your doed? The bears say "NOPE, NOT TODAY!" and smack him around till hes a bloody pile of meat... also bears are easy to feed, they like both meat and berries.

Giga is still a problem, but three to four bears ganging up on an Alpha rex tends to chew it pieces.

What do we say to death?? 'NOPE, NOT TODAY'

I hoping that was a game of thrones reference and I've just found my new best friend I can talk GOT with for the next hour of my life.

First, u start with the Para or trike. they is an easy tame and carry a lot more than u at the start. put all ur points into weight and speed sense they aren't going to be much for defense. Tame 2-3 Dimos for that and ur golden until u run into Rexs.

The next step is to get an Tpera or Argy. They will help you get resources that would normally require u to run through Rex, Reptor, scorp ect territory with ease.

after that, its time for a quetz. They are like a super argy cuz they hold lots more.

If you want pearls/chitin/oil, go find a spot with Trilobites and pearls. theres a REALLY good spot in the south eastern bay in the redwoods under the natural stone ramp. Just be careful not to run out of stamina.... so make a boat and put a bed on it to save ur self.

Well I mean...flying will always be the easiest way. Most of the flyers are capable or already carry a decent amount of weight and it's certainly the fastest way.
