titanboa clip thru walls

so I was wondering what would be best way to get some titanboa eggs and i came to idea to build small pen in which i put few wild boas and just wait.
Reason for this is bcz after about 600+hrs i loot only 3 titanboa eggs and that makes it damn hard to do some boa kibbles (i have still never tamed Gigantopithecus and i wanted to give it a try).
Right after i get and put first boa in this happens;

I picked it again with argent and put it back but it just went through walls over and over...
If some know better way to get some boa eggs please do so.........thx

Btw when you have a tree base can't someone just kick down the tree

And also try making the pen 2 walls high

the widest trees in red forest cant be knocked down

Boas easily climb over your wall
You need at least 2 high
Also I suggest using pillars and ceiling hatches to make it easier to pick up eggs from below when you have alot of boas in the cage

ive made my pen with doors that they cant go through and a ramp to lead them into since its pve i cant pick them

ok, second set of walls also fail to stop them getting out but looks like third set is holding them in...now to find some smart way to get eggs and not get bitten...i might try with pillars and ceiling hatches.
Now only one thing to test yet is...if i go away from base will game decide to despawn snakes after a while...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they go over the wall not through, don't they? So putting a catwalk on top of the wall to create an overhang that they can't climb around should prevent their escape...

i guess you are right but even after i have put second set of walls it still looks like they go through and not over - i watched them several times and it always look like they go through base of building...i guess animation needs to be worked on :)

However...after quite some time around still no eggs...

It looks like they are going through but they are going over. You can stop it with a three high wall or a two high wall with a lip on it that turns inward, like a catwalk or ceiling tile.
