Being to hot on the lava island

I was on the lava island on [the center map] today searching for the artifacts and when I was in one of the caves I got extremely hot and I was wondering if any of you knew how to stop this from happening

2. Use Calien Soup (you need to cook it)
3. Use Ghillie Armor, should have the best heat protection of all armors.

There is a breed of dino who act as a mobile Air con right and if you walk with one of those close by it also helps, or that changed?

Actually cloth armor has One of the highest heat resistances in the game I don't know the other armors but it's cheap and easy to produce and usually works well.

^ This. Dimetrodon does regulate your temperature as you stand next to it, but having one follow you in the lava caves would be impractical - keeping it alive would be difficult given the number of mobs down there, and it wouldn't cool you down while moving. But fortitude, food and cool armor are simple methods that you can do while on the move, and they won't be affected too much by the environment and monsters around you (aside from your armor getting damaged, but good battle tactics and taking some spares will counter that).

If your low level than Calien soup and Cloth is definitely the way to go.
