I'm going to build a base on the center that looks like a castle.

it has been my goal/dream for some time now(like 2 weeks) to find myself a nice unofficial center server, go to my favorite place to build bases (19, 80) and just build myself a big ass castle that looks badass.

my question for you guys is if you have any design tips on how i can make it large and imposing and awesome without making it impossible to defend/easy to raid. (which means i'm making it out of metal or glassmetal if the server has that mod)

any ideas guys? or is a base that looks like a big metal castle unfeasible on a PVP server?

I would assume it's not going to work for defence to be honest, if you're going for a certain look.

I play PVE for making things look nice, and I've turned the entire north tropical island into one huge city made of solid stone (there is no visible ground, foundations and ceilings cover the entire island).

Best of luck with the build though, you might find a way of making it work for PVP.

I mean anything can work with enough turrets right?

Also that base of yours reminds me of the base of the alpha tribe on one of my favorite servers ever(they also claimed that entire island for themselves) so it may not be as unrealistic as you think :P

you don't need mod for a cool castle if u play on official primitive ;)

I have tried the Primitive total conversion, I preferred the castle mod. But each to their own.

The floating Island would be Ideal..for a castle in the cloud , seen from afar :)

hehe thanks, thats just the basic stuff around the base, there a safe haven/storage room/greenhouse/quetz room+ptera+argy etc.
