Gas mask - 80 black pearls

80 may seem like a lot, but the gas mask is quite the prized possession. It will protect against the pesky diseases and poisonous gas. It could very well just save your life ;)

So a gas mask stops a leech from giving you a disease or from other players? I would think other players.... But if it stops you from getting it in the swamps its worth it

Well, when its easier to cure the disease than prevent it, the gas mask becomes a moot point. =\

3 days of farming black pearls with a level 212 megalodon has yielded about 10, I can crank our many cures faster than that after a meat run on a good rex. As for the poison gas, a mindwipe, focal chili and a few beds outside the swamp cave can get you to all of the crates.

I can't see the gas mask being used much for that price, it just... doesn't seem worth it. Which is too bad, I was really looking forward to it. =\

The cost is a joke. In the last month we've come across 1 alpha mosa. Black pearls are way too rare for a lame gas mask to take 80.

I can only think there will be caves in the future that will have poison gas in them. Because yeah....right now it's not worth it even a little bit to make, besides the fact that it looks neat I guess.

You can actually run the swamp cave naked if you restat with speed and a little fortitude. Same with the ice cave. You'll die a lot kiting the mobs away, but you can get to all of the crates and get out after 10-15 tries. Just have a few beds on a thatch foundation outside.
