No Creatures Spawning In The Central / Chitin Cave

Hey, so for a while i've been trying to tame a dung beetle from the central cave, but every time I go in the cave I go through the entire cave without seeing any dinos. I have restarted my game, and exitted and entered the cave several times, with the same results: no dinos. Any help?

Single player caves are notorious for being empty.

Try this
bring up console and type in

destroywilddinos

It will freeze your game so just wait it out till it comes back

You can always spawn one in

SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/DungBeetle/DungBeetle_Character_BP.DungBeetle_Character_BP'" 1 1 1 35

35 = the level it will spawn at

There's been a bug for nigh on a year now where cave mobs fall through the floor on single player, meaning that caves are empty. Devs have so far ignored it completely. For now I'd suggest running your single player games on a locally hosted server, that will fix the issue.
