If you're on The Island map or a Workshop mod map, look for the folder 'SavedArksLocal'. But if you're on a DLC map, look for a folder with the map name in it, eg. 'RagnarokSavedArksLocal' or 'AberrationSavedArksLocal'.
In there you'll have the map save, which is the name of the map as a .ark file eg. TheIsland.ark. Then other map saves with the map name, but a date and time stamp in the filename too. The date and time ones are backups.
First make sure Ark is not running. Then just delete the main map save (may want to cut it and paste it somewhere else so you have it backed up in case you need to restore it for some reason), and rename one of the backup files to the same name as the main save in it's place. Then start the game up and see if it restored you to a usable point.
your backup snapshot, maybe several days different. be patient and meticulous.
