F is if YOU ride on a dino, I want for dino that sits on me. Jerboa/Vulture/Monkey.

On PC, you can access a shoulder pet's "command wheel" and then its inventory by holding the "R" key down while the pet is on your shoulder.

On PC its double tap inventory button, for me its TAB. it gets the shoulder mount,

When I hold down R with a jerboa on my shoulder i get nothing. If i hold down R with a jerboa on my shoulder while riding another dino I get a menu, but it's only to access my own inventory.

Double tapping I for inventory does nothing but make the inventory flash for me. I know this works with sinamacrops, but doesn't seem to on scorched earth. Is this map specific?

Not map specific, creature specific. The other shoulder pets were not retroactively edited to enable the inventory option that the sino has.
