I needs lots of Organic Polymer for high level ghillie armor.
It's expire time is insane short. I have a pelegonis and kill ducks. But getting enough ducks in a short time and getting the organic polymer back to base before it expires and not getting killed by some random alpha pounce - BIG PAIN. Anyone know a better way? Wiki hints saying, "If you are not in the cold region you can hunt ducks," but does not further explain what so special about the cold region. IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO GET ORGAINIC POLYMER??

There's also two other ways beside hunting:
- Everything that would yield polymer in the industrial grinder gives organic polymer instead. (e.g. grind soap)
- Get a bee hive, tame a lot of Achatinas with cake and you can have quite a good steady organic polymer production. But takes quite a lot time to find enough achatinas to be able to craft/repair high quality ghillie armor with it.

But imho the usability of high quality ghillie is very limited anyway, mainly because of it's low durability vs. effort for repair

the western arctic region has kairukus (penguins), which were the original source of organic polymer before everything else. they spawn as babies and juveniles as well as adults, and harvesting their bodies with a club gets more polymer than using something else, although a pelagornis is better if you dont have an ascendant club. its alot better than trying to hunt ducks since they spawn in groups and the babies drop alot more polymer than adults. what you can do to avoid making trips up there is tame a few penguins, put them in a cage and set them on wander with a few air conditioners around. when the eggs hatch, club them for lots of polymer. hope this helps:

Depends on the map and your capabilities.

Mantis, penguines, and hesperonis in decreasing order of organic polymer yield. Ease of gathering them depends on the map and the region of the map(since for example no mantis on "theisland" but tons on ragnarok or scorched earth.

Also, if you are quick with loot gathering from beacons or you good at extinction supply drops, items that have organic polymer you can break down with the industrical grinder too(but this is probably not as efficient as just harvesting from good yielding animals on the appropriate maps.

Just to add to this, karkinos on Abs and corrupted dinos on Ex (corrupted nodules work as poly).

Ghille can be crafted in the inventory, so could you bring your blueprint with you and craft it on the fly when you get enough?
TheIsland and my plant species x kill mantas all the time but never had a polymer drop from a single one. I thought penguines were extremely rare.

On Beginner Server level 44 capped that doesn't allow for much high level crafted items. Can't play on a regular server because all servers, even the unofficial, have bad ping. Regular official servers lag so bad my char cannot even move even tho I'm on a gaming computer. I have a char or two on reg server but cannot do anything until Wildcard addresses it's lag issue.

Mantis, not manta. As in praying mantis, one of the creatures from the Scorched Earth DLC. Manta don't drop poly, no.

But if you fly your pelagornis all the way to the snow biome in the NW, in the water there are icebergs with lots of penguins on. Kill and harvest those for a while and you'll have loads of poly.

Can be repaired on the go though, unlike chitin which requires a smithy.

Maybe it's me, but i rarely have the couple hundred organic polymer with me to repair my good ghillie on the go ;)

lol true, yes, but if you play on any map other than the Island creatures which drop poly are a dime a dozen, so getting the stuff you need can be very easy.

it's best to head over to the iceburg's over in the tundra on The Island as peguins spawn enmass there and they are a great way to get loads of polymer, however if you are playing extinction then head out to the wasteland and go on a slauthering rampage against the corrupted as they drop corrupt nodules which work just like organic polymer (in scorched earth & ragnarok you can kill mantis' for polymer and in aberration kill a bunch of giant enemy crabs for tons of polymer)

just get yourself a couple of breeding pairs of kairuku's and use club on the babies. get some achatina's to use as storage for the polymer. this is how i get and store my polymer on the island

So short answer to everything given here: On the island, go north and hunt penguins along the beach. Harvest with a club, not your bird.

If you have other DLCs, Organic Polymer isn't a problem on most maps.

Can harvest with a bird if it's a pelagornis and a HQ club isn't available. But in any other instance yeah, what you said.
These are some rock solid awesome suggestions. Thank you! :D
