This mod is really fun. And works along side vanilla taming.

Also, Immersive Taming sounds really cool, I'll probably give it a try whenever I start my next SP map.
Yeah, unfortunately that still ends up with the exact same issue, it will make them tame faster than they lose torpor, in essense this is the exact same as taming speed except it requires more food. Which is not even a challenge.
If there WERE a setting for torpor this would work perfectly! But there is not... not even in INI files.
Unless i'm not seeing it there is not a scale\setting for torpor decrease speed
I need to scale taming speed and torpor decrease speed at the same time, but there is no way to do that. Just changing the taming speed makes narcotics useless because they tame so much quicker than the torpor will decrease. Which breaks the taming system making it too easy.
Taming is actually central around food. When you change the taming rate setting what you're reaally changing is the taming % values for the foods a dino would tame when it has an eating interval. This is why people can go around that with non passive tames and use weapons or items that deplete the food bar of the dino so that it eats more quickly. However that wont change passive tames requirements since they have timed intervals in a different taming scale. It also doesnt affect of course non feeding tames such as hyaenas.
But all in all, what you wish would be a complete taming overhaul in regards to this. You want the time consumption easier but you at the same time contradict that by desiring the torpor depletion wants really. You're more than likely just going to have to more flexibly change your wants in this regard.
You can at least opt to learn how to make your own mod though for your wants and nows a pretty good time to learn since the Mod Dev, Zen Rowe, has been getting modders to make tutorial videos by incentivizing contents for the purpse(think they're on the 4th such contest atm).
