You've said this now in multiple threads today. Problem is that this has been a common reason for issues in the past and when attempting to help folks to sort out things it doesnt actually help when saying that. Ark can have so many different variables for issues and sorting through the common ones first and then exploring is more exotic possibilities exist comes next.
It's possible that having things on a different drive might be a factor in the issue here, I agree. But surely the fact that many do use the game in that way without issue suggests that there are other, separate factors which are triggering this particular case? Maybe the separate game data is contributing, but it in itself is not the sole cause...
Perhaps it would help to have more information. @PauZe - could you go to 'Help' in your Steam browser, select 'System Information', copy everything that appears in the box there and paste it in this thread?
Anyway, been agreeing with you all these years, was nice to actually think a bit differently this time.
Apologies for derailing.
Try manually save the game before exiting, make sure the savegame file is created, then take a manual backup up of it. Check when the file disappears, when you go to Main Menu? When you exit game? When you start computer? When you start game?
