Oh nice! I missed that in the mountain of 500,000 engrams. I'll definitely take that approach. Thanks!
On our server we've switched to using Super Structures, which keeps the old version of S+ functioning before all of these latest sweeping changes which the mod author brought in. And on there that loop runs fine. Has S+ made some big change to it somehow?
This is an issue when starting out with a bunch of empty structures though as technically they are all as needed as each other and so drain the farmer.
For initial setup... Use transfer tool to do a semi balanced transfer. Then the farmer takes over from there.
Bump the farmers inventory up from default to give it more of a buffer
So basically it does a lot of neat things, including fully automating poop-to-plot.
1. Pick up all poop (S+ Item Collector)
2. Put all poop into compost bins and Dung Beetle (S+ Item Collector)
3. Pick up fertilizer from compost bins and Dung Beetle (S+ Farmer)
4. Deliver the fertilizer to crops in a balanced fashion (S+ Farmer)
5a. Pick up crops (S+ Gardener)
5b. Pick up crops and deliver it to dedicated storage boxes (S+ Item Aggregator)
