Best Imprinting Settings for Single Player?
Currently using default maturing speed and 0.1 for cuddle interval. getting 5% each cuddle but I'm afraid my Tek Rex is gonna fully mature before I can reach 100% imprint. Any suggestions that won't negate achievements (if it's possible to even do such a thing with imprint settings)?

i dont believe there is even an achivement for imprinting, is there?

but i use settings that let me imprint to 100% after 1 cuddle, but thats also bc i do not have the free time to wait x amount of time to get a decent army for boss fights.

tho i do use ark server manager to run my own personal server, so it may be different if using SP.

Imprint Amount Scale : 1000 (100%s every dino after 1 cuddle)
Cuddle Interval : 0.000232 (will need a cuddle 6 seconds after claiming)

even with a 600 baby mature speed, this lets you get the full imprint, then you can go off and do what you want while they grow, i belive this is like a 5-10 min full mature for a rex and like 15-20 for a giga

There isn't an achievement for imprinting but from what I've heard, any game setting that is set really high or really low can disable achievements entirely.

As far as I'm aware no config settings or mods can disable achievements in this game. There was even a mod map at one point which instantly granted you all the achievements the moment you created a character on it, without even collecting any resources or building anything. I know for a fact that you can use the nanny from Structures Plus/Super Structures to imprint creatures to 100% automatically, and that will not affect your ability to get achievements.

With regard to settings, though, I use these on my solo games and on the server I run with my friends:

EggHatchSpeedMultiplier=120.0
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier=37.0
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier=0.03

I worked them out back before WC added the imprint amount scale config - back then you had to do maths to figure out exactly how long a creature would take to mature and the gap between imprints which would allow you to get 100%. So this could possibly be more fine-tuned if one were to add the new config.

However it seems to work well enough as is, so I haven't bothered to adjust it. It makes small creatures mature in approximately 10-15 mins, large creatures like gigas and quetzals a few hours, and we seem to be able to get 100% on them all.

This will work on rexes yes?
Alien6700 Feb 8, 2022 @ 1:44pm
yes it should :) did you try it?
Alien6700 Feb 8, 2022 @ 1:50pm
Thanks Vaelr and Hermit now i can fix the mess i made with the settings, i had issues imprinting my baby Rexes the other day their imprinting stayed at 0% upto adulthood :(
🦊 Hermit Feb 8, 2022 @ 4:28pm
It will work on newly hatched rexes. I believe the breeding configs are not retroactive, so any which were hatched before the configs were changed will still use the old settings. That's definitely the case with mating cooldown at least, I think it is with these ones too.

Will these also work with 'Use Singleplayer Settings" enabled?
🦊 Hermit Feb 8, 2022 @ 5:10pm
The single player settings checkbox does make a change to egg hatch, maturation and imprinting, according to the wiki. So I would assume that checking the single player box would override any other config you try to enter, such as these ones above. They may not be compatible, no.

If you did want to fix it so they were, you could set up all the settings to be the equivalent of single player settings, without actually having the box ticked. Then you could just input the new hatch/maturation/imprint numbers instead of the single player ones and go.

The changes single player mode makes to the settings are listed on this page:

https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Single_Player

EDIT: Come to think of it though, single player mode might also make some other changes like making bosses weaker, which wouldn't be included if you didn't have the box ticked. So perhaps the idea I mentioned above wouldn't be the best after all, as you may end up having to face full-strength bosses.

download beacon and use the program to set it up correctly, it lists every creature and how many imprints they get before they are fully grown as well depending on what you set it to.

Checking SP box really messes with the settings, yes.

I had no idea this was possible. I was restarting the game to reset the imprint timer everytime I raised a different type of dino in order to get the 100%. Thanks!

I can confirm it works even with "Use Singleplayer Settings" checked.

Hello, where can I change this value?
Imprint Amount Scale: 1000 (100%s every dino after 1 cuddle)

I put the following options in the configuration menu

EggHatchSpeedMultiplier= 70.0
BabyMatureSpeedMultiplier= 20.0
BabyCuddleIntervalMultiplier= 0.001

But the bonus percentage is adapted automatically when I change these 3 options... I never have time to get 100%...

In the game.ini config file.
