All dinos have regions not all dinos have the same regions.
If you look up a certain dino on the wiki and scroll that page near to the bottom you can easily see what regions your dino has.

The rex page:

https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Rex

so if you were to 'target' ( or look at ) a dino then use something like:

setTargetDinoColor 0 1

You would color region 0 of that dino red ( 1 is the number for red )

While pointing at a rex this would color the 'body' region red.

On the next update after an event ends some things are removed/disabled from the game files. There are commands to use to 'color' your tames to any color available. I have considered using that cuz my massively in-bred birds now all look the same. I have some 'dino candy' left over - that will temporarily change the colors and increases speed very little.

I have read - don't quote me - that if you force an event while playing Ark - that you will get the even colored dinos after a 'dino wipe'. What you don't get is the special stuff to cook in the cooking pots - and other even related special stuff. So if you are after just he event colors - give it a try and let us know.

Ohh thats all i want if possible, simply to color my tames in colors i want to. i have a bunch of rexes which are all the same. i considered to tame lowlevels with different colors but the random dinos and colors are tooo randomly and it tqakes to much time to find. Thatwise i wanted to activate an evetn ... maybe fear5 or so but if i can color them as i wish that would be a 100% solution.

Just a possible alternative to this: If you breed creatures for mutations you can get some crazy colours for them too. Plus the mutations will increase the creature's stats and make them more powerful.

Those mutated colours are random, so it may take some time to get something you're happy with, but it's a 'legitimate' way if you don't wanna use commands. And while you're breeding, you can set all the colours you like to one side, then breed the colours together afterwards to get the precise design you want. You can make things like these -

Glad to hear it.

If you were to cryopod any dino and then hover over the cryopod you will see the regions and which color each region is. Each color strip on that display has a number that corresponds to the color chart.

I see three colors on the chart with 'white' in their name too - could you be looking for 'dino albino' #36?

I now have a Black Dragon that breathes lightning. His name is 'Metallica' - of course.

"I Rule The Midnight Air - The Destroyer" - if 'you know you know' - if not you weren't raised right that's all there is to it.
