hi there,
i just got the free expansion dlc and the pics show dragons and rock beasts and such in ragnarok but when i start it up i flew around and found nothing but normal dinos. were is all this cool stuff?

Dragons rock elementals u can find on eather Schorched Earth or Ragnarok, griffins are only found on Rag and check wiki for their spawns i can tell u now where to look on map but it would probably mean nothing to u

Well the Wyverns spawn in the Valcano-type place and the Rock elementals....Sorry I dont know

so in scorched earth are there just the mythical creatures or dinos too?

Scorched Earth has some vanilla dinos, and it adds some of its own. The ones it adds vary. Some, like the vulture, are just normal creatures, but then there's things like wyverns, rock golems, and the phoenix. Things like the morellatops are sort of an inbetween. They weren't actual dinosaurs, but they aren't these super mythical powerful creatures.

Certain rag servers do have rock elementals but those are custom ones with mods, it does have wyverns in the volcanic scar area and in the new south bay area.

There are some mythological creatures like the manticore and dragon but those are boss fights and you wont see those normally except on modded servers.

You have to go to the wyvern crevasse and steal an egg, then hatch it and raise the young wyvern to adulthood. It's a difficult job, and you'll have to get a decent level and a lot of equipment/other dinos first.

For rock ele follow the coast where swamp biome turns into the newly opened desert area. I found a few there. On the islands & coastline. Didnt see any elsewhere in the new area but wasnt looking very hard

normal rock elementals are around the valcano, dragons are in two dragon gorges one in the north East and one in the south West. the lava Golem(rock elemental) is a boss you find in the jungle cave ( not gunna spoil it more then i already did) the Frost worms are found in the Frost cave which has two entrences.
Griffins are found on the mountin tops that are not covered by snow they tend to wander though.

all of the things i mention you need to be prepaired for be for you just go running in. or you will most likely die. some of these the death can be recovered from easily some of them not so much. (both the Lava Golem and the Frost worn are found at the end of there cave systems and the likely hood of you being able to run straight in and get back out is unlikely.

Frost wyvern eggs can be found in the snow biom, they are fairly will hidden but if you find the adult wyvern chances are there is a nest nearby ( watch out for the extream cold. even in full fir it can kill you quick if you linger to long.
