Xp on player not going past level 85

In my current singleplayer world I hit a hard Xp level cap of 85 and Xp cap of 107930.9/360886. I don't know if any of my mods(s+,ark advanced level 150 wild dinos, the tombstone or Ultra stacks, cupvision or even better reusables make this happen but they didn't do that in my last save. Anyone any idea how that happened?

The last few levels of the player's character are locked behind ascension. You have to beat all the bosses on the Island, Scorched, Aberration and Extinction to unlock them all.

Base max character level is 105. Did you use a console command to ascend? XP gets borked if you do that and the only way to fix it is to ascend again legitimately.

Make a save/backup of your current file.

Revert all settings to default and remove any ini changes. Also remove all mods.

Test then if you can go to 105. If you can, return to the save, remove all settings mods again(so you're at 85) then test changing settings -only- If you can go past 85 then, then revert again, change settings and then add a mod at a time testing from there. When ever you then encounter the blockage that'll tell you its possible from a mod.

If it is indeed from a mod(my thinking is on either settings or an adverse combination of the mods and settings) then in the future remember to check a mod's workshop page to make sure its not broken or abandoned and any other important instructions for using it properly.

I didn't ascend, I just started a new world on the island on singleplayer

Update for any that run into the same problem: Ark doesn't seem to like being in singleplayer and not having the "use singleplayer options" box ticked. Don't really understand why but at least I figured it out I guess

I've played over 600 hours of singleplayer without that box checked and never ran into any issues such as this. Still, good for you to get it sorted, I suppose.

it seam there is a new feature in server parameter
=> find two box in advanced settings at the bottom and set the cap to 0 in the two boxes.

it should be ok after this

dino max experience points

should be to 0

go to an obelisk or drop, upload your char (naked) and then create a new one.
if you new char hasnt this limitation then this is your old char which have a bug.
if you find it to slow to make a new char, you can just increase xp parameter until the test is done.

I'm still of the thought that you've altered something and it is causing this and until you fully test via default conditions correctly, the actual source/change may not be easily figured out.

you can´t play the game with normal settings. You must make your own server with different value or install mods.
The developer never fixed the balance. After years, the game is still not playable without mods or console

I mean there is no youtube videos how to win vs alpha boss, without passing the Levelcap for your Dinos. Reason for that was the purpose to make a MMORPG where you fight a boss with 20+ Players

The only Thing I altered apart from mods was addinng the AlwaysAllowStructurePickup=true line at the end of server settings in GameUserSettings.ini as it should be. I am on a completly fresh install too with now only 9 days into my new Pc so I really don't know what I could have altered. I even tried it without all mods or modifications to my GameUserSettings.ini freshly generated and it still would only work with singleplayersettings on on.

But as a soft fix I will use singleplayersettings till I am at max level and then turn them off as the leveling doesn't affect my tames as far as I can tell.
