Help Transmitter items are invisible / missing
i uploaded items to the transmitter to move maps and half the items are gone. it still says 20/50 are in the transmitter but they are not there. either invis or missing.... i cant see or click them.
Is there a way to delete them from transmitter or get them ?

Were they modded items, perchance? If you upload items from a mod and then access the transmitter on a server/world where that mod is not loaded, it will break the items and they won't show up any more, even when you are back on the world/server with the mod installed again.

Alternatively, this can also happen if you upload more than 50 items. Theoretically the game allows you to upload as much as you like on servers, but on single player the limit is 50 items, and for some reason that limit can glitch and apply to servers as well. When it does, any transmitter with more than 50 items can either crash your game when trying to access it, or make items invisible like this. I've taken to transmitting no more than 50 items at a time, even on dedicated servers, to avoid risking this bug.

Either way, it can be fixed, but it's a bit of a pain. You have to delete the local profile where the transmitter data is stored, at this location:

Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\LocalProfiles\PlayerLocalData.arkprofile

Sadly though this will reset your map exploration for all maps too, so when you press M in game the map will be blank and need to be explored again. Also it will remove your acchivement rewards temporarily, and the game will take some time to give them back to you. And finally, any items and creatures stored in the transmitter will be gone forever with no way to recover them.

Your character will be fine, you will however need to re-explore to uncover your map and re-do many (if not all) achievments, as stated previously.

Yeah, so long as your character is not in the obelisk, but downloaded on the map, then they should be fine if you delete the files. Only if they were uploaded at the time of deleting would there be any risk.

no it's far easier then that all you have to do is to the transmitter go in ark data hit search and type a random letter of a item you know is in there and it'll pull up thos items then erase the letter and it'll correct itself and all items will show up.

Np just saw you was having trouble with this odd bug and looked into it. Happens mostly when they put new maps in and they put restrictions in place until they fully test it. So, might happen again if they drop the new map june 14th.

The same has happened to me too and im wondering if there are any other risks, because i just tried the method with deleting my local profile, but it doesn't change anything. Can you help?
In Addition, I didn't used a Tek Transmitter but a modded item from Awesome Teleporters. Im not sure if this changes anything.

You deleted the PlayerLocalData.arkprofile file and nothing changed? Hmm, that is odd. Did you have the game running in the background while you deleted it? That might prevent the file from being removed properly.

Also side note: Some people on these forums get quite upset for some reason when old threads are bumped with new posts. Personally I don't mind myself, but to avoid anyone complaining you may be best making a new thread about your issue and we could discuss it more in there.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
