First of all, you'll need to download the map, tribe, and character profile files. The file types are .ark, .arktribe and .arkprofile respectively. The .ark file will be the name of the map you are playing on, while the other two will be strings of numbers.
Important note: you'll need to isolate which .arkprofile file is your own character. To do this, get your Steam64ID (search online for how to find it if you don't have it already) and compare the strings of numbers to that ID. One of them will be yours, so that will be the file you need.
Go to the following location on your computer:
Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved
From there, it depends on what map you are playing. There will be folders with the name of the map and 'SavedArksLocal' (for example 'RagnarokSavedArksLocal' or 'ScorchedEarth_PSavedArksLocal'). Open the folder which has the name of the map you are playing on. If you are playing on the Island map, then open the folder just called 'SavedArksLocal' without any other prefix.
Once you've pasted the files in there, select your character file (the .arkprofile one) and rename it from your SteamID to 'LocalPlayer.arkprofile'.
Then it should be a simple matter of downloading the config files from the server and pasting them into the following location:
Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
I think that should work, but make sure to keep a clean backup copy of the files stored elsewhere just in case I made a mistake. And hopefully if I did others on the forum will be able to correct me. Hope you get it working^^
