What's a good late game Equus?

In other words, what's a fast running creature that can get me from point A to B quickly that's also viable in late game?

The context is a bit vague as typically late game, folks fly vs use land creatures for many activities. Can you be more specific in your wants and then we can narrow down suggestions more connected to your wants. Map, specific a to b travel concerns etc.

a late game equus would be a basilisk since it does everything the equus does but better. (fighting, transporting mats, going fast) but if you dont have abb/arent on abb you cant get them. Now if you dont strictly want a better equus but just something for late game that gives similar perks you can use anything you want really just make sure its high level has a good saddle and is imprinted

Well SPINO is good if theres water around. But its run can damage things and upset them. But very little will attack you without you having damaged it first. And if you are on maps where jelly fish are rare such as THE CENTER, it can be water transport too. On ABBERATRION its one of the best transport options.

Therizino is okay as long as you turn harvesting off or you'll be stopping to remove wood from its inventory all day.

YUTYRANNUS can be an option. Its not as slow as a rex.

Reaper King, Like a faster Rex that can super jump.

Paracer, An imprinted and speed leveled Paracer while still slow isn't the worst thing ever. And it can have a platform saddle to put a morte and pest on.

Then theres lots of other options, but many things will target you... Bary onyx, Dire bear,
some people like procoptodon and wooly rhino.

Bask is also on genesis and the free map crystal isles (But none of the creatures on crystal lay its tame food...)

Procoptodon, ladies and gentlemen.

One of the fastest mounts in the game, but has extremely respectable carry weight to go with it. It's massive jump can get you almost anywhere, and is excellent for evading agro/escaping threats. And with the huge knockback it can do with it's kick, it's actually a really good fighter as well, able to knock down foes much bigger than it while evading almost all damage.

And to top it all off, you can bring a passenger or a small pet along for the ride (just be careful as pouched creatures aren't protected from damage like the rider is).

I hate you...

No I don't hate you at all, that was the mount I came to suggest haha. Their jump won me over instantly. If we are talking Paint A to B, I don't think any mount in the game can beat a procoptodon.

Manas would definitely beat the procoptodon. With an imprint buff they are amazingly fast

Megabananrs (as I like to call them) would beat a procop in speed, true. But they would not do it with a large cache of carry weight to bring plenty of items. Procops can do a good balance of speed and haulage, where the manas are largely scouts or fast in-out raiders.

Any flyer for the win.

Therizins for general exploration (and if you're just exploring and didn't disable harvesting, duh). Most mobs will ignore you while riding a therizin, even a low level therizin.

If it's a high level therizin, you can easily kill most mobs, or run away.
