Baby Theris Starving

Trying to raise baby therizinos but they just wont eat on their own and force-feeding doesnt bring up their food stat either, other animals dont seem to have this problem only the theris.

im feeding them raw meat, their food stat is pretty average.

once they get to juvenile stage they start eating out of the trough tho, if i go out of render distance it seems that they don't starve

That's your problem! They are herbivores.

Yeah, I agree. The same problem exists with taming.

If you prefer to not read spoilers, then give them every food type, although even that will fail with some important utility dinos, like beetles and snails (although the word "dung" might help with the beetle taming). You can't even observe their behavior to figure it out, as you found with therizins. They eat veggies, despite being aggressive, while pteranodon's who won't hurt you (but will fly into your house if you leave the door open), eat meat (that's the one that tripped me up as a newb).

lol i always knew they were herbivores, i guess it kind of slipped my mind when raising the babies since i tamed the adults with kibble, just a brain fart thing hahah, i searched the internet all over for a fix but couldnt find one and now i know why!

Don't worry, you aren't the only one. The other day a friend on my server asked if theris were carnivores or herbivores...and the best bit of it was, he wasn't even meaning to ask that question, he actually wanted to know if they layed eggs or gave birth to live young, but his brain just wasn't working that day and told his mouth the words for food instead.
