Do Dinos gain XP together while hunting? Or is it only the Dino i'm riding

Hey,

Playing Single Player in Ragnarok and i'm trying to figure out a good way to level multiple Dinos at once. So let's say I gather a bunch of Dinos and go out hunting killing everything we come across, do they all earn XP or is it just the one i'm riding?

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I do know there is some shared XP. I once took a group of rexes out to kill a high level Alpha Rex. Afterwards, they had all leveled up.

You get shared XP off of the Rex you are riding, but its not just limited to you. You could have tribe members in close proximity that will also get shared xp.

In fact, one of the way we use to level up fliers was to have someone in the tribe follow you on a ground mount killing everything in sight, and then the shared XP with the flier would give you a ton of level ups.

Yea with Tribe mates it's a lot easier but i'm playing on Single Player due to my poor experience on servers. Also have custom setting for faster mating and such due to time constraints.

Anything to help me level up my dinos would be appreciated. Without cheating of course! I remember way back dinos could consume the XP elixer for boosted xp but I think that was removed.

iirc whoever gets the killing blow gets more experience, but it'll be shared across your dinos.

Alphas will give a ton of experience, I usually level up my Argents by flying around and looking for Alpha Raptors and Carnos. Wyverns also give a good bit of experience, if you have a trap that will let you kill them on your ground mounts.

They tend to spawn wherever, but I find most of my alphas around the giant canyon area in Ragnarok. That's where I live though, so it might just be because I'm there more often than not.

Fyi, dinos without riders do NOT share xp around. So when killing the alpha, make sure to land the final blow with your character or the mount you are riding on, otherwise you'll get nothing and the one that killed it will get 20 levels. Whistle the rest of your pack to passive if you have to.

Then how do you level Dimorphodons or Mircoraptors ? Can't ride those ?

They will all share Xp not as much as the Dino you are riding... If your on the island find the dossiers and u and the dino will get a buff .. then jump off that one and get on the other

I do not think what you are saying is accurate. I regularly go hunting with my pack of Dilos, raptors or Carnos. I use them as a hunting pack and do not ride any of them. As I hunt, they all level pretty equally so there is experience sharing happening. You should probably get your information straight so you stop giving out bad information.

singe player, yes you could go rampage thru the lands. but thats a lot of time wasted and a lot of hard work.

get the S+ addon. build hitching posts....hitch all your dinos.Check them once a day and apply a ton of lvl up points....DONE. I don't know why this works, but it does. I'm lvling up 30 Megalosaurs right now and ive already put more than 40-50 points into all of them in a few days.

Now if you want to do it the hard way. the one that lands the killing blow gets massive exp, everyone else gets tiny amounts and you as the rider get tiny amounts.

If you do the killing blow personally while mounted, only the dinos that agroed seems to get shared exp, you get massive amounts and your mounted dino and the rest get a small amount.

Get S+ hitching posts.

btw, if you ever want to do aberration i'm in single player mode but unofficial open server. you are welcome to join me and have someone to talk to. Though i will wipe the server and make it exctinction when the dlc comes out. So i'm kinda rushing to experience rockwell before that.
