What's the quickest way to get out of aberration?
I just dropped my survivor onto aberration for the first time in quite a while to get the ghost skins, I love the map, but the reason I haven't played on it in so long is because it's far more difficult to transfer in and out than it is on other maps, so I was wondering which route gets you to an obelisk the fastest/safest?

I will consider the northwest surface, which is the smallest and has a bridge across to the obelisk that allows you to lure reapers to fall down such that you don't need to fight them.

To reach the surface, you need a zipline and a ravager to climb up. Your ravager will probably get killed next time you arrived aberration if you leave it on the surface.
cant you just transfer via cave loot crates around the map?

You can but it’s a pain traveling and finding them IMO maybe I’m just being a baby about it

I don't know what your thoughts are on spawning stuff in but you could always create a transmitter base just for getting on and off AB.

Travel and Transfer via lootcrates is only possible in MP-Games, and only if a map-cluster is available. If you play SP or non-dedicated MP, you have to use obelsiks and can't take anything with you directly.

The fastest way to transfer back from aberration in MP is to take a tek-transmitter with you.. You even don't need element for that purpose.

When you're on aberrations place the transmitter and you can use it for travel within the cluster. You don't need any energy for that.

Of course, you must have the transmitter unlocked. For that, you need to defeat the dragon at least at beta diffculty...

Unfortunately no, I tried that a while back and I'm pretty sure it's not a thing anymore on solo

Watched someone get there a couple times, I believe you could make it with lots of grapples, a wingsuit and some luck.

There is no such thing as fastest/safest in accessing the obelisks on Ab. People transfer out mostly via supply drops or their own crafted transmitters if they've a base. So while its annoying to find supply drops, there are a couple of places in the fertile zone that have drops pretty regularly in specific spots that one usually go to that are within a short distance to each other.

It's chapter 3 in the game. So realistically you should be going there with enough gear and equipment to get off ok.

As others have stated a transmitter could help. Otherwise just book it to a surface obelisk. The North West surface entrance off by memory is the smallest of the surface regions and the easiest to not get lost in.

So spawn in the green lakes area and head on up there.

That north one though I believe has a radiation barrier so if they're not prepared its a death trap for em. The one in the south, though requiring getting up the ledges, doesn't. But before they'd do that, 2 supply drops are in that immediate vicinity on occasion and a short walking distance around there are 2 more and another up on a high ledge too. So that area is ripe with potential supply drops from which to xfer out on.

Word of warning, there's currently a major glitch on Abs which is causing the time to go haywire, meaning that the surface is almost constantly burning, even at midnight on a 90% night period.

WC have yet to even acknowledge it, let alone fix it. So if you're planning to go to the surface, make sure you have god mode and infinitestats ready to keep you alive for long enough to reach the obelisk, otherwise you'll probably cook. And you won't be able to bring tames with you.

They are single player from their earlier posts. Supply drops are not an option.
Plenty of spawns of mushrooms in the area to prevent the spore/radiation effects.

If they're in single player(word he used was solo hence why it was a bit unclear), then they can also use creative mode or admin commands otherwise to make themselves invulnerable and and use admin fly command to get to the surface day or night and use the obelisk.

They can also use creative mode to just make a transmitter at any time to plop down to upload out too.

My personal experience involves wingsuiting down to the boss(?) terminal and exiting that way. Threat of drakes exists, but I have consistantly gotten there and exitted with loot or a tame transferred. Takes 1 or 2 practices runs, but very doable.

I get the climbing gear pretty easy if you know what you're doing and just hang out around the starting area above the lake where it goes further into the mountain. Should find a drop pretty easily
