Extinction city platform base
So . im building on ex for the first time and i chose a very high platform with a bunch of palm trees and water on it , next to the green obi
This is way smaller then what i usually went for and i was curious to see what other players did with this spot
Id also like to know if you can place cliff platforms from Ab on the city buildings / towers

I think I know the platform you mean. I have a base there on my current solo game. If I get the chance in the next day or so I'll hop in and snap a screenie of my build. It's nowhere near as clean as I'd prefer (I made a mistake when planning it out and by the time I realised I couldn't be bothered ripping up what I'd already placed) but it works.

Or, if your playing on singleplayer you could turn off the needing of foundations. At first I thought it was a bad idea(kinda cheating), but then I did it and never looked back. You end up building such cool things without the need of support. You can build endlessly, and it adds needing MUCH more materials as you will want a huge space like I do. Trust me on this.

I've turned off my foundation support on my game, and I do use that element a lot. However I also like to try and build my bases inspired by, and fitting into, the world around them. When picking a base spot, I try to be inspired by the landscape and see what I can come up with that is unique to that location, fits around that section of the map, and has unusual traits specific to that build.

Sometimes that does involve crazy spots with no foundation support, like a build I have on my Ragnarok server on the bridge over the canyon, which has a massive ladder reaching all the way down to the river below (pics in my screenshots if you're curious). But on this platform, I wanted to preserve the trees and use/build around the grass patches to some degree, and also not just concrete over the pool of water - doing that would kinda detract from the charm of the place which initially drew me there.

Yeah the no foundation support is amazing if not PVP, it just let's your imagination run wild

How do you turn foundation support off? is it from a mod or what?

Structures Plus mod or one of it's derivatives. I personally use Super Structures.
