Paracer Platform house builds?
Does anyone know of some decent builds that use vanilla-ish settings? I've tried looking up ideas, and all I can find are either PVP cheaty boxes where it's just a metal cube with the head and feet sticking out. Or "no limits" mega houses with dozens of building parts snapped to the saddle. I'm in single player, but I haven't changed the .ini to disable the saddle build limits and I'd sort of rather try to work within that.

I'm basically trying to find a method for lining up the first foundation to center it, and then ideas for how to do something useful with the fairly small number of parts I can connect before hitting "too many building pieces."

I'd also really appreciate it if someone knows of a guide that explains how to deal with the insanely frustrating way that Ark handles component snapping, especially for sloped ceiling pieces. The last time I tried to build something I remember it being super frustrating because sloped roofs want to snap in any direction *except* the one I need, and the slight swaying of the critter's idle animation makes it even worse, with roof parts sometimes vibrating through *every* possible option because Ark.

To be honest Paracer on official settings is rly just for pvp reasons usefull. The structure limit is so low that you barely can build a "usefull" 3x3 mobile home...
For lining up structures on platforms i usually use a pillar first and then use the snappoints it gives you for foundations. Pick up the pillar afterwards.

For a saddle build you really need to increase the limits if you want something really useful. Otherwise there just isn't enough room.

For sloped ceilings a lot of the time you need to use the sloped walls first to give the sloped ceilings a guide to snap to.

There's no middle ground. Either PVP will force people to optimize, or PVE will give people the ability to make creative builds, and they'll do ridiculous stuff. Best you can do is get familiar with the build system, watch some videos about dropping foundations in vanilla, and make your own build.
