Im gonna assume 100% taming efficiency just to make it simple
Max lvl 150
Tame a 150 dino, it will be 225.
Tame a 135 dino, it will be 202.
23 points into all the stats arent a huge difference. So you can tame 135, 140, 145 and 150.
Max lvl 600
Tame a 600 dino, it will be 900
Tame a 560 dino, it will be 840.
60 points into all the stats makes a huge difference. So you can tame only 580 and 600.
That made me spend most of my time killing dinos waiting for one spawn to tame. Got bored and started to do destroywilddinos and check s+ transmitter.
Do that for few days without finding one dino that you want to tame and bam you wont wanna play ark anymore.
Edit: they should add a wild dino range, ie assuming max lvl 150 you could set it to spawn only dinos from 130 to 150, or only 150 if you're nitpick.
is it OP? Sure, but since we all start at Beach Bob levels when the game started, its nice to be omnipotent.
But that game-play isn't for everyone, so let people play like they want to, its not up to us to decide what game style anyone else is supposed to play.
Exactly this. Each to their own when it comes to personal preference.
It makes taming them more difficult, like you said. you contradicted yourself
All in all, its up to the player, what they want ect.
