Karkinos 100% effectivness?
Iv tamed several crabs now and found that using their preffered kibble does not give good effectivness. Am i using the wrong kibble? Iv been using turtle eggs and iv only got 60 something effectivness.

It is more likely that due to the fact they are tamed like rock golems the last cannon ball or boulder does a bit of splash damage so it gets hit after it gets knocked out by that leftover splash damage. There isn't much that can be done about it. So they tend to start off at 80-60% effectiveness. I have never been able to get a rock golem starting at 100% because of this. So I imagine the crab will have similar problems.

ohhh that makes sense, i noticed two different numbers pop up from the cannonball impact. that really sucks they should implement some sort of system to fix that.

I have heard that cannonballs are more likely to cause splash damage on the crabs, and using the catapult would be preferable if you're able...

Ya it would be nice if there was some way to make the first hit after knockout either be canceled or have only the second hit mess with effectiveness for the golem and crab.

yeah id like to see that feature implemented for the cannon tames.

If you can use a combination of the cannon and the catapult. Since the catapult does no splash damage, it makes for a good last hit *last couple, if you don't have super spyglass*

The cannon does way way more torpor, and you run the risk of outright killing the crab if you only use a catapult. I recommend having both on hand. Do the majority of torpor with the cannon. When you think its about to pass out, or can check its torpor. Switch to the catapult to ensure you don't hurt the tame efficiency.

This won’t work for the crab. One cannon ball to the face will knock it out. Straight up catapult is the only option for good taming effectiveness

got 99% taming effectiveness with Catapult
