Any easy way to have different saves with different mods?
I know you can have a save for each map, and even multiple saves on each map if you drag and drop some folders.

But what I would like to do if possible would be to have my curernt map (Ragnarok) save with the mods I've selected, then be able to switch over to another map (The Island) with a different set of mods. I'm hoping there is an easier way than unchecking the mods I don't want on one map and checking the ones I do want each time I switch maps.

Basically the mods I'd like to use on The Island wont play nicely with the mods I'm using on Ragnarok and I'm just hoping there is an easy way to have seperate saves with different mod setups like there is on other games.

You could try going to the single player config files, open your GameUserSettings.ini file, and listing the mod IDs under the 'ActiveMods' field. However I don't know if that would overrule the mod selection in single player, best to back up your saves before trying it just in case.

Failing that, I think the only other option would be to run your solo games on a locally hosted dedicated server instead. Then you could just swap out config and save files when you want to switch, which would just take a few mouse clicks.

Since the mods are listed in gameusersettings won't switching the save folder with each having its own config solve that?

That's what I'm saying in my post above, I don't know if it would or not. On a server it definitely does, but on single player I don't know if the config files would override the in-game mod selection list, or whether the game would override the config and require you to select the mods in the list manually each time. OP will have to test it and see.

Thanks :) I'll take a look at that this weekend when I have some more time.
