I also just discovered this mod that I might use on some future playthrough, looks pretty simple, seems to work as expected: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2020317130
It's not like you have to have hazard gear to enter the lunar biome, it's just nice to have, you can wear cloth if you bring a stack of tintoberry healing potions.
its not the only way to survive on lunar , during the early morning hours you can go there in fur armor .
My group of friends rent a server, beat the map's bosses on alpha, and are done until the next map releases. I know we are definitely in the majority of players as well who do this.
Edit: do the mushrooms block radiation? Havent tried it because I think its solar damage not specifically Radiation?
Adaptation is part of the challenge.
this. thats what the dlc is pretty much about. adapt and thrive, if you know the biomes and their dangers/Advantages, you can really thrive in Genesis. If you dont, learning by dying/getting hurt.
Its hard at the start, but once you know your way around, its top of the food chain for ya.
Yep for example ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about there is no place to build in the ocean.
There is plenty of space. but it is underwater, not on the islands
Genesis doesn't have the Aberration engrams enabled, so fresh characters are ♥♥♥♥ out of luck unless they find them from a drop or quest reward. That's the issue the OP is having.
Its a strangely arbitrary design choice for sure. If its assumed the player has played the other maps then why lock them out of the engram? All that means is they can't respec on that map and are forced to hop between them just to relearn them.
And that only really applies to officials anyway, since you can use mods or even simply spawn them in otherwise.
Dieing is apart of the game, and building on the ocean isnt out of the question as there are a few spots, and when you get the engram and resources a grapple hook opens up the map.
