Daeodons
How is the Daeodons Healing to food ratio calculated?
I just watched mine go from 100k food to zero in one healing cycle. ( I was healing a pack of Rex's that I have just levelled up to 80k heath)
It appears to me as though it is based on how much HP it heals instead of the length of time the heal is active.
I tried this 3 times logging off in between with the same results.

If you fill the daedon with meat and go out of render distance its food will fill up

I know its not just time. It appears to be per dino getting healed (not the amount of health healed tho, just the number of targets getting healed.)
Something like 200 food per second per dino getting healed

I had one pig 'healing' for 10 mins a single dino and was half food.
After re-filling the pig,
I had the same pig healing 20 rexes for 2 mins and being out of food.

Also to re-fill a pig, any dino will instantly eat ALL food they can to restore food meter when they go into stasis (no one in draw range)

Ok thx guys, a few things to think over there, I was just a bit shocked to see 100k of food disappear in 1 click

Our raid pig has 200k food and full of dodo kibble when doing some boss runs (Alpha Dragon on Island, Tek Cave End boss on Alpha or the King Titan)

And it will burn all the food, and eat all the kibble to full, and burn that again before some fights are over. (400K food +)

Thanks for that info, very handy to know...theirs me thinking 100k was good :P .... slight change of topic.. what HP do you level your pig too? I know it doesn't get involved in fighting but I beleave a good buffer would be handy to keep it from turning into pork scratchings.

Cause our raid pig has been cross breed with various pigs to get good base stats
Its 100% imprinted and its base HP of 9.5k is enough to handle a few hits (if it has a good saddle) and the King titan attacks if the rider forgot to 'jump' the pig during its area ground attack.

So when we level it, we put everything into food. Cause as long as its got food, it can heal most damage, but as soon as its out of food, its dead. (the rider spam feeds its kibble during the fight as you can force feed it 1k of kibble a second)

I thought I went a bit over cautious with the health on mine @ 40k, I still have the parents so I'll go somewhere in between for the next one maybe 15k and pump the rest in food.

I should add I will be attempting the bosses on Ragnarok in the near future and have decided a Pig would be a good addition to my Breed Rex's and Yutti all with ascendant saddles.. a bit of healing will be handy.

I believe the healing is a 1:1 Food/HP restored ratio alongside a minor upkeep cost so trying to maintain a horde of rexes, even with a ton of food, will be quite taxing. However the kibble trick has already been mentioned so it's possible to circumvent the crazy food usage. Daeodons are fantastic to have one or two of them available with riders being able to manage them. Even if you're doing single player stuff, having a spare Daeodon on passive next to you while you keep the party going can be great as you can just shift over to the other Daeodon to keep the healing stream going before having to force feed. Also, you can use weapons while on the Daeodon so it's a win/win!

The Ragnarok bosses are way easier then the island bosses.

On Ragnarok, you get two bosses at once but both have 50% the normal hp and doe 1/3 the normal damage compared to the Island versions.

Just burn the dragon and ignore the manticore and the fight is easy. Once the dragon is dead, then kill the manticore. Use assault rifles (you can shoot while on the back of a Daeodon) against the dragon while its flying (but do not kill it while its flying or your might get no loot) and eat it when its landed. Once the Dragon is dead, the Manticore, you can take your time as it does very little damage.
