Mod recommendations to make PvE more fun?

I have my own dedicated server.. ive done the whole PvP thing and its just not my thing i guess.. but PvE seems to get boring once i establish myself with a base...

Anyone able to recommend some mods that make PvE a little more interesting? As is, theres really no point in building walls etc.. i want to have to defend my base from stuff.. Dinos are only a threat until i tame something somewhat reasonable.

You're probably going to want to look up various different overhaul mods for starters, mods that add a whole other layer of game play such as Annunaki Genesis, Extinction Core, Pugnacia, Eternal, DragonPunk, ACA: Redeption etc. They add alot more dinos, bosses, crafting tables for various new weapons and items etc.

Survival Plus(not to be confused with Structures Plus) is another overhaul that adds alot more construction options and but not new dinos but it does alter the way and AI that dinos act on maps. Zoology is another similar mod that changes dino behaviour as well.

There are also many different mod maps that when put in conjunction with the afore mentioned mods create even more variation. The Volcano map has ragnarok's, Aberration, scorched earth and the island maps dinos, assets and resources all combined on the map. ISO: Crystal Isles similar combines various things from the other maps and also has its own creatures specific to its map. And there are many other maps too.

Then, if you add alternate building/crafting mods to the fray, you can spend tons of time building creatively. CKF, Steampunk(which also has steampunk dinos, an airship you can build a base on, and more), Platforms plus(which lets you buiild all manner of platform structures even at ground level), Eco's various mods of building and decor, and more.

Then there are mods that add additional utility. Structures Plus as already mentioned, Automated Ark, Ark Advanced, Awesome Teleporters, etc.


So -any- mix and matching of those (and on different maps) can create all manner of tons of hours of time, challenge(or not depending how you do settings) etc.

And those are just more popular ones, for each one of those are plenty more less popular or just made etc.

Thanks for the replies. I think i will start with extinction core. I took a look at call of the wild and it does look good, but just don't feel thats enough to fill the void. I think i will keep an eye on it though for once it starts giving benefits to surviving the onslaughts.

I have a server. I use aa. S+. Primal fear. Builders improvements. Orp. Speedy saddles.
Tons of fun
