Fell through the earth and died

Umm. I dismounted by Argy and fell through the earth to water underneath the terrain. It kept trying to plop me on the ground and even stuck for a second, but then I fell through again and this time I went through the water too!

It killed me! Just said "you died"

I had like the best stuff ever on my character that I had spent all day obtaining! I can't find my corpse anywhere. Is there no way to get my stuff back?

Official - say by by to your stuff.
Unoficial - you can ask the owner to revert it to a save before you Lost your stuff.
SP - you can revert it, by loading a save before you died. In alternative there are mods to get your stuff from corpe when you die, but it works only for deaths after building tje death recover.

I got some death locator mod, but I dunno how to use it. I hit the device and it counts down, but I see nothing

If you have the death recovery mod, you simply click the tombstone and reaquire your items.

If you are unwisely using death helper mod which the maker was banned from the devkit a year ago and cant update, you cant recover items from it until you were in close proximity to the corpse(which unless you admin commands like ghost, fly, god, which you express you hate because you call it "cheating") you're out of luck.

If you have the awesome teleporter mod, you can hold E and retrieve that way.

Just depends what mod(s) you specifically have.

Yes. I was trying to build a hard to reach spot and then decided to move my bird out of the way,

I am going to resort to using the cheat spawn commands, because frankly, this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Is there a way to spawn a purple axe, green pick, and blue crossbow?

So you went from being totally against mods to using ghost mode to help you build in the space of a week. Corruption is strong in this one.

Ghost is buggy as hell when on a mount but to get your stuff back in future just use death recovery mod.

The stuff you lost isn't that great. Now you have an argy go grind on alphas and you will have far superior gear in no time.

I like awesome teleporter mod. Besides teleporting. Let's you recover lost/stuck dinos (most use item first) and let's you recover your stuff if you die.

in future.. if you mount after activating ghost mode... use cheat walk before you dismount.

Note: this is not always successful. Always aim to be Out of ghost mode BEFORE mounting.
