Looking for a specific location on The Island

I died and spawned in this forested area with a pond with beavers and ruins on the side of a cliff. It was absolutely beautiful for a hideaway, but along came I don't know what that killed me in one bite before I could gather my wits and check my map. Does this location sound familiar to anyone? I've started a new toon in god and creative mode just to try and find it again. Please and thank you for halp! :) <3

Did it have cliffs all around the pond, with just three gaps for entrances? If so it'll be the Hidden Lake, way up in the north east of the map opposite Carno Island.

Sounds like you spawned in
North 2 - Northeast coast just southwest of the Dead Island.
or
North 3 - North most tip of the northeast coast

Yeah, I went back there, to hidden lake and it didn't look like it. The ruins were on the side of a mountain with arches and a roof. it was fully enclosed. The hidden lake ruins don't look like where I spawned. This is driving me batty. Maybe I'll get out of god mode and just jump off cliffs until I randomly spawn there again :P Thank you for replying. Wish birds few faster. I'll go look again.

an easy way would be to look up a video of all the explorer note locations and run through until you see your ruin.

It was night when I spawned. What my brain remembers and what is in the game don't look the same lol. Didn't even have time to light a torch before that last chomp. Yeah, there aren't beavers at hidden lake. Poo.

Beavers only spawn in a few small places on The Island: https://ark.gamepedia.com/Castoroides

Should narrow down quite a bit.

Well, the foliage has changed so much it's gonna be random chance I find it now. Fek. Liked that spot.
