How do I cage in my dinos?
any walls I build they somehow get out. If I don't put any or they get out they get WAY too far. I need them to wander so they can mate. Is there a better way to cage them?

Might try Hitching Post. You can attach them to the post and set them to wander so they'll mate (but they just don't go anywhere).
I think the Hitching Post is part of Structures + mod.

I didn't see anything in the mod description for anything that keeps dinos close

Also if by "mate" you jsut mean drop eggs, non ffert eggs, they will drop by just being next to opposite sex dinos without being on wander.

I usually just use wooden fence foundation and double tall wooden walls. Thats cheap and not good for pvp tho. If your breeding use foundations under your dinos because ive lost alot of eggs thru the ground.

Sit still, spam the all stay put whistle while your dinos are on wander, wait for the egg, then turn off wandering once egg is layed or they are done breeding for mammals. --- classic method
(they dont need to be on wander 100% of the time, they lay normal eggs when not on wander)

Hitching post from structures+ stops your tames from moving even when on wander.

Larger tames you can turn down the (targeting distance?) all the way down, then set them to wander and they wont move. (cant verify this as i wont be at my computer for a few weeks but i remember this, its one of them settings)
