Are there any easy locations to find Angler Fish?

I need angler gel and it seems Angler fish only hang out near the deep oceans. I wanted to know if anyone has found a location on the Island, Center, or Ragnarok where they are closer to the surface?

I don't tame dinos so the only options I have for going after them is scuba gear. If anyone knows a good spot for angler fish please let me know.

I don't think there are any places like that, however the underwater cave leading to the underground world on the Center used to have anglers I believe. And that cave has air pockets for you to breathe in. I don't know if it still does spawn them there but it may be worth a look.

EDIT addition: come to think of it, I think one of the southern caves on the Island has some in too...the upper south one perhaps?

EDIT2 And the ice cave on the Island definitely has some, although those are extremely high level and the water there can kill you very fast.

Aside from that, deathworms sometimes drop a bit of the gel. You wouldn't get much, but it'd be a little if you're requirements are light. Rather than scouring the Ragnarok desert for them, you could go to the ice cave and fight iceworm males, as they spawn much more frequently.

Derptini is correct... the water below the entry to the jumping puzzle cave on Center map is not only loaded with anglers.... they are the only water critter in the water there And there is access from the surface on land as well as water access to ride them out
