Come on dude, you think I haven’t.
For attacks from above id recommend to ensure ceiling integrity via pillars and also to get multiple layers of ceilings going.
Any high value dinos should be protected inside a per dino bunker so you can ensure maximum effort needed to get everything.
Split your ressources up into multiple bunkers. That way you dont put all your eggs into one basket and you can make sure that potential raiders have to guess which bunker they want to crack, never letting them get everything.
This approach can also be achieved by creating bases that are highly separated, using foundations as inner walls as well.
As a general shape tip: Highly sectioned based are best build as Dodecadons. Starting with a central hexagon of N edge length, followed by squares on each edge of the center that are N^2 in size. Each square connected by an equlateral triangle of N edge length.
You can then make any sort of conmected shapes with these dodecadons. Nicely spaceous and hard to crack!
Umm you have not watched the right one then.
Kinda hard to show you how to build a good base in prose.
A picture is worth a 1000 words. What's a video worth?
Hit turret limit... dimorph turret towers everywhere....
"What's a dimorph turret tower?"
We'll since i cant explain that... and you've watched videos... 😜
Lets just say... ours decimates 150 alpha raptors in seconds.
I also love the concept of mobile bases, both in this game and in others. The idea of having everything with you as you move, a totally self-contained unit, is really appealing for some reason. So I've spent some time building and refining paracer platform bases over the years, and plan to redesign my main concept pretty soon to streamline it even further.
Chant to yourself "3 high, 3 high, 3 high." When building for the first time you want to go three high and nothing less than stone. No thatch. Screw wood. Exceptions only if you really cannot get stone easy but wood is insane avail.
Adobe is pretty but it has the same exact decay timer as wood making it impractical for spending engrams on unless you have an alt or tribe bum who is willing.
Eventually replace your stone over time with metal. Foundations first.
Windows look pretty but they are deadly. Wilds glitch thru windows somehow when you are offline and get you and your pets in your sleep. If you must have pretty windows make sure they are closed and locked before you log out.
Building way up on pillars is a plus. The higher up you go the better. This serves two purposes. One, if high enough it prevents random wild spawns inside your base. Two, people can walk under your base and will love you for it - no trapping newbies.
The same ethic applies to building over the ocean up on pillars. But even safer. No shark is going to spawn inside your base and eat you all in your sleep. More work but you will never get a wild spawn in and people will appreciate you didn't take up mainland. Also, over ocean and you get lots more land than the mainlanders to work with. Just don't block the shore so newbs with no flying mounts can run by.
