Is the season pass worth it?

completely worth it since each of the 3 map's the pass contain's all have their unique set of challenges: scorched earth is a desert so water is rare, thing's have a bit of a shorter spoil time and various weather's can happen, aberration has no fliers, takes place in a vast cave system, has a chamber filled with deadly radiation and the surface is only somewhat safe to go to during the night, and extinction has corrupted creatures that are very hostile and again has it's own set of challenges

It's mandatory. Without access to DLC's you'll find yourself in a huge disadvantage in pvp

oh yea i will need to mention something about a few select creature's, namely the wyverns, rock drakes and reaper's: wyvern's and rock drakes can't be tamed and instead can only by tamed by stealing and hatching one of their egg's (wyvern egg's require high heat whole rock drake egg's require cooler temperature's) reaper's however are a bit more tricky to tame: you need to find a reaper queen and damage her a lot but not kill her so she can grab you with her tail and inject a reaper egg into your chest which will burst out of you xenomorph style

btw u do wanna kill reaper queen's cause u will need her pheromone glands cause baby reaper's will attack you due to them being blind and deaf and won't attack you once they are juvenile's

The last I time i seen it the explorers bundle was the best option, base game + all DLC for a cheaper price than the season pass.

*pvp on official servers. No effect on unofficial/ pve/sp.

On the flipside, you can also explore Ragnarok and Valgeuro to see the DLC creatures without needing the DLC. Some modded servers even add extinction creatures.
