ARE THERE ANY TUSOS AT VALGUERO AT ALL?
Hi all! The thing is, I tamed a high level basilo in Valguero map to be able to go deep down into the big underwater cave and god knows I explored every corner for about 4/5 hours in total, diving into every deep trench and hole I saw. I got to know the cave pretty well, even marked a "highway" of mod spotlights to go from the access in the middle of the "big central lake" to the access by the south-east beach. I ran into mosas, eels, plesios, varios alphas, etc. etc., virtually each and every deep sea creature I know from Ark -except gigant squid. Not a single tuso anywhere. Am I missing something? Any area that I don't know of? If you've been luckier than me and know where to find tusos, please leave coordinates and instructions of how to go there. Thanks!

The wiki hasn't been updated with a Val spawn map yet, and I haven't played the map myself as yet so I'm afraid I can't advise from experience. What I can say though, is that if you're in single player or have admin access on your server, you can ask the game to list any tusos it finds on the map, so you know that they are spawning somewhere. It won't tell you their location (you'd need a mod for that) but at least you'd know if they were there at all.

If on single player, just press TAB twice and in the text box at the bottom of the screen type

getallstate Tusoteuthis_Character_BP_C

On the big black section of the screen at the top it will write a list of any tusos it finds, each one on a new line, so you can tell how many there are.

Alternatively on a server, just press TAB once and use the server admin password to enable cheats. Then press TAB once more and type

admincheat getallstate Tusoteuthis_Character_BP_C

That will output the same list, but it will put it in the server log window rather than the in-game console, so look there for any results.

Third option, but this is a bit cheaty so you may not want to do it - If you have the Structures Plus mod you can spawn in a tek transmitter and some element, then in the radial menu when you place it down you have an option to scan for specific dinos. This will bring up a list which, when you click on one of the names, it will take you to a map showing the general area that creature is in.

Spawn codes (as above, if you are in single player you won't need the 'admincheat' bit, but on a server you'll need that and your admin password too):

admincheat GiveItem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/StructuresPlusMod/Misc/Transmitter/PrimalItemStructure_TransmitterPlus.PrimalItemStructure_TransmitterPlus'" 1 1 0
admincheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/CoreBlueprints/Resources/PrimalItemResource_Element.PrimalItemResource_Element_C'" 25 0 0

Thank you so much. I in fact host a server as admin so I'll do the tramitter thing you mention. I don't like cheating and never do, but this will be for a good reason, since honestly I'm doubting whether Valguero spawns tusos at all. That undersea cavern looks massive at first but in a few hours you kinda learn to move around and common sense tells me it can't be as huge as in my imagination since the map also needs under-surface room for the Aberration cave areas.

There are indeed Tusos on Valguero. But Tusos (and Mosys) are extremely rare on Valguero honestly....way more rare than any other maps. Some of them are sometimes stuck inside walls and can't get out...taking up spawn spaces. Valguero isn't very kind to aquatic spawns admittedly.

Just done that. I was right in my suspicions. No tusos in Valguero. Now I only need to check one thing since the set-up of the mod "Valguero Dino and Map Extension" ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the fire wyvern spawn and is preventing them from spawning, so I wonder if it might be blocking tuso spawn too. I'll uninstall that mod and use the tramitter again to check. Thanks. Great help.

Don't forget to do a dino wipe before you check, otherwise all the old creatures will still be taking up spawn points so no new ones will spawn anyway, even if tusos would be able to spawn then.

I did, and now there is ONE tuso in the whole map. At least I know "they" spawn.
