Building in radiation zone on Valguero

Trying to build within the purple / radiated zone of Valguero and no matter where we try to place a foundation, it says we cannot. I noticed this by trying to place a foundation next to liquid element to setup the S+ Element Catalyzer. So I went throughout the zone and anywhere there was radiation, building structures was not permitted.

Does anyone know if this is a setting and if so, where can it be modified?

There's a no-build zone all the way from the top of the ramp down to the rock drake chasm right to the bottom of the pit. No way to disable it without mods I'm afraid. You can however build in the red zone above the pathway down to the drake pit, where reaper queens spawn.

I'm afraid I don't know of any, I don't know if anyone has actually made one. I was just speaking generally in that post above, didn't have a specific one in mind.

One note I will add to the discussion though, is that you can build things on a paracer platform and then walk the paracer down into the red zone, since they are immune to the radiation effects. If you're in single player or on your own server you may be able to adjust the platform saddle build limits to build down below the level of the saddle, then place an Element Cat on that bit and walk the paracer up to the element rivers, making the Cat drop into the river. I don't know if it would work in that instance, but it may be possible.

As far as I know, you can only place Catalysts in liquid element so the platform would be of little assistance. I really don't comprehend this - why have the zone if you can't build in it?

Since there's only one way in and out of the rock drake area, it's probably done so that alpha tribes cannot block off access to smaller tribes and prevent them from ever getting drakes.

As stated above though, you can build in other areas of the red zone, and there are plenty of element rivers throughout that zone. Just pick one of those.

Um...reaper queens? I didn't think those spawned on valguero? I've yet to fully explore the rad zone.

Is anyone aware of a mod that allows you to build in the radiation zone on Valguero? I help manage a server so if there is a mod or anyone is aware of the setting that needs to be adjusted that would be very beneficial.
