the cycle goes from 50d / 50n -> 90d / 10n -> 10d / 90n -> repeat
50% d/n -> 90%d/10%n -> 50% d/n -> 10%d/90%n repeating? or what you've stated above @SpeedFreak3?
edit:
watching this closely to time a trip to the surface.
On my server's day 255 we started 90% day/10% night.
at 5:30 a.m. the "day" clock is going at 9x slower the rate from 00:01 to 05:30 a.m.
Times are the same irrespective of season, only the clock speeds up or slows down to make the time pass faster/slower. So yes, whether it's 90n10d or 10n90d, you can go to the surface at the same times.
I will say that those times quoted are slightly off though. It actually goes from the half hour - 17:30 - rather than 18:00. And daylight returns at 5:30, not 6:00.
