Abberation: Basilisk, Karkinos or Rock Drake?
Out of the three, which one seems easiest to tame so far? And which one will prove to be most useful in the long run?

Also, does anyone think they might have some use on The Island, The Center, Scorched Earth and Ragnarok?

For the Rock Drake you just need to steal the egg and kill Nameless to rase it. Karkinos shoot with cannon and give Turtle kibble. Basilisk feed Rockdrake eggs. (Hardest one imo to tame.)

Not sure about the most useful though they all do different stuff. I wouldn't expect a giant crab to have a lot of use on SE though due to the lack of water.

Basilisk Require Rockdrake eggs to tame,

Karkinos requires the same taming method as rock golem, Cannon ball to the face.

Rock Drake only requires you to have a decent hazmat suit and a spino or two to get to where you can get there eggs. Then acquire nameless venom to mature instead of meat and nameless vemon is a rare drop but you can farm nameless before placing the egg to hatch you should have no problem gathering like 20 using mate boosted Spinos (keeping it on the Dino) then transfering to a preserving bin or Fridge to store then go gather more till you have a good stock then hatch the egg and farm as needed.

In terns of mobility rock drake beats all 3 karkinos are slower but good for PVP and Basilisk are fast but dont climb walls like Drake.

TLDR Basilisk Requires Rock drakes Karkinos requires Cannon and rock drake require Spino.

Karkinos is easy as you can get to them in the first zone and just put a cannon on the walls of a river and they spawn below you, very easy.
Rock Drake is not that hard if your really sneaky.
Basilisk is a pain!

the basilisk will eat any fertilised eggs but drake eggs are its "kibble" the catapult is best to tame the crabs as only a few missed shots will kill it and raisein a drake isnt very hard but gettin an egg out and having enough air cons is a mission on its own but to answer your question the crab a simple trap in the river with a catapult n youl have crabs n bio poly for days..

basilisk is easiest IMO.

While both Rock drake adn Basilisk require you to get a rock drake egg, the basilisk needs to eat 1, maybe 2, and it's done. While you have to farm nameless venom to feed the rockdrake baby. Still worth it, but not as easy

The crabs have no special affinity with water other than the fact they walk along the bottom rather than swimming, same as rock golems. From a game play perspective they don't need water, and fair much better out of it. (Their jump only gors directly up in water, it can't be drawn back for more distance, and many underwater creatures attack them.)

On land they can cross mountianous terrain easily with their long range high altitude jumps and their ability to pick up medium creatures and deal double dmg to them makes them great for transport or quickly kill things. They honestly would do really well on SE. But there's notnmuch reason to pick any land mount over a flyer, unless you expect to take a dip in the water. Which SE. Doesn't have.

Basilisk or Karkinos, Karkinos is the most useful early dino tho, and you can tame it with a Catapult, just gate it in and hit its shell.

Dont use cannon to tame karkinos, it hit tiwce ( projectial and splash) which can ruin taming effectivness, a catapult is alot better.

In terms of usage on other maps, the ravager, crab and rock drake would all have a use on Ragnarok, as would the ziplines and glider too. That map has a lot of verticallity to it, especially around the canyons area in the middle.

lol drazan you want a usefull megalosaurus and your complaing about a 6 hour tame, to get a breeding pair of megalosaurus alone its around 6 hours then add incubation and mature time but hey if you still base your tames on how cool they look and dont bother imprinting "gooedluck"

Aberrant megalosaurus dont have the sleep cycle and have around the same health but quite a bit more damage then a rex, also they can grab and are faster and have better stamina then a rex
