lazy? XD you mean instead of using an already existing armor and not bothering to do anything new, making a new armor specific to the hostile challenges of the new map is lazy?
keeping TEK armor and doing nothing would've been lazy =P you've got it backwards.
Heck I always start from lvl 1 on each expansion in ARK just for that reason. Kind of boring to transfer my Tek geared character to the next expansion. What is there to do? Breeding pets for end bosses is boring work.
only that in wow the levels go up with +10
while in ark, nothing changed lol
so yes high end gear should still be high end gear
i'm aware there are other cxonditions, like environment (fur armour, ghillie armor, scuba, gas, you name it)
but tek armour is THE end game, high tech armour that should deal with most, if not all
Why would you want “end game” in expansion that was just released?
because this expansion is for advanced players, hence why they can transfer in and why it is created as such
if they want everyone to start fresh, then there would be no in-going transfers?
I guess the Tek transporter engram is worth beating a boss for, but if the armor is less helpful than a hazmat suit, why bother with the low level boss fights?
tek railgun
tek rockdrake saddle
tek sleeping pod
That goes back to a huge flaw in the whole game design though. They've always had themselves painted into a corner as far as technological and story advancement by having complete progression on the very first Ark (The Island). If they had done things logically, each of the progressive Arks would be a progression in difficulty and technology.
That would have accomplished a few things: It would separate the player base across the maps, easing load. it wouldn't make older maps as obsolete, because that's your progression zones. it would clear population from maps, so new people could move in. It would be way better balanced, because you wouldn't have advanced tech being used against primitive tech. But, balance has never really been a concern for the devs, so, whatever.
all of them are rubbish.. longneck does more damage than the railgun as for the suit..it does'nt even protect from the heat and cold nevermind radiation .. much like most of the stuff they put into the game..garbage
It's balanced. And tek armor? Still -really- useful, especially for getting around.
