Achatina only eats Sweet Cakes?

Is this some kind of bug? Game bug I mean, yes it's a mollusk not a bug... -__-' Is it just for aestheitcs of having one and feeding it cakes because of how OP you already are at this point? After the release I honestly don't see any point to having one. Why go through the trouble if it gives so few resources and how expensive it is to feed it? After some reseach it CAN keep polymer much longer than normal but why bother? I've never had a problem with the spoil timers.

Achatina only eat sweet veggie cakes but they eat them at a much slower rate, it takes more food loss until they are hungry enough to eat.

The price is right. When set on wandering, they produce a full STACK of paste about every half-hour or so. They should be expensive to maintain for literally free access to as much paste as they produce. My tribe has 12 and we never need to raid beaver dams or hunt chitin. 2 stacks of cakes every few hours to keep them fed. Bingo.

Note: Do NOT place the cakes in a trough so they last longer.... other dinos decide to eat them before other stuff in there....

I just keep em in the fridge and feed them once or twice per day. Just another thing added to my daily Ark to-do list...

Yep. Though each cake restores 250 units of food on an Achatina. And unless they take damage they drain their food stat at a very slow rate. Each of my achatina eat maybe 1 cake per day give or take.

Agreed. I often keep them in the fridge, and just take enough out to quickly feed my snails each day. Oh and level the snails food stat so they can last longer between meals. First dino I've ever wanted to level the food stat on, huh.

I tried to put preserving salt in it's inventory with the cake... all it did was foam up and die. :(
