S+ Mutator Help
So I read all the info abut the Mutator but am still slightly confused about how it actually works. When my friend tried it earlier he got a direwolf baby with 20k hp, when I tried it mine is only at 5k. I made sure the direwolfs were mutated when mating and after mating, I also then kept using the mutator to keep them mutated throughout the entire process until the baby was born. It did have a colour change but that's it.

I also tried this on a raptor and it didn't work either, I made sure the parents were mutated when mating and when the egg was laid but the raptor appears normal. Am I suppose to keep using the mutator when hatching the egg or? If someone could give me a detailed explanation of how to use it I would be grateful.

I agree, me and my buddy couldn't find any detailed information on how this all works either, so if anyone knows please help us out.

use mutator while breeding, not hatching. the mutation is random, it could be in food or oxygen, etc.
You might not get a color change. some dinos have areas that do not have color. the color mutation might be in one of those areas and so won't show up

The mutator guarentees a mutation in any baby concieved while the parents are affected by it's field. So have the mutator on while the parents are mating. And as Ole says, mutations may be in any stat, and will not always produce a color change too (although every color change will produce a stat mutation). Record the stats of both parents (remember that stats which are passed on are simply wild and tamed stats, NOT any additional levels pumped after taming), then compare the baby's stats to the parents. If there are any stats which do not match the parents' values, those will be the mutated ones.
