What dino is the king of caves?

I always used a high level Direwolf but It's been awhile since I've been caving. Is it still the best? What about the Thylacoleo or Megalania?

The ant eater rocks in bug caves. But there are caves like in rag, with bears and deathworms and such. Some caves are legit dungeons now only allowing player access.

Baryonyx. Thin and manuverable so can get into and out of tight spots, decent speed, can jump, pretty powerful if you level melee, and easy enough to find a good saddle for. And excellent in water too, so pirannahs and sarcos won't be an issue.

The most usefull answer is probably one that includes the cave. There are caves where an allosaurus can get you straight to your goal without having to fight anything as it is being ignored by smaller critters. A wolf, sabertooth or baryonyx are probably the most versatile choices, but using them means fighting and killing everything you encounter. A megalania allows you to sneak around and avoid a lot of fights depending on the cave. A thylacoleo -my personal preference- doesn't always fit. So, depending on the particular cave I take a different mount. Cheers

carno and frogs can fit it and doing well in most caves. you can try raising a direbear in there, OP in all caves especially in poison cave.

I prefer my Megalania. Just lizard your way across the walls and ignore everything.

Depends on the cave, and what your objectives are for the cave? Are you killing everything for resources and XP? Or are you grabbing loot and artifacts and getting the hell out of Dodge?

Check wikia cave page, it says which one fit or doesnt and rate them depending on the cave.

i always liked breeding dinos and raising them in caves lets you get some pretty cool stuff that normally wont fit

another is vulture swarms 10-20 hogh lv bred vultures is like a insta kill swarm and dispensible

Why does no-one ever mention the mighty moose? A megalocerous has great AOE, decent damage and HP. The only problem is it can't be force-healed without veggie cakes.

Oh, and any cave that a chalicotherium can fit in is easy peasy. Rockthrowing is incredibly OP in tight quarters. Hits EVERYTHING and can be bounced around corners.

I like to do this too though is hard to find an unofficial that permits it

Giga of course. If you can't fit a giga then 100 dodos will suffice

no one said Dire Bear? Those things are OP. Have you seen the Health and Melee on these? They are unstoppable... I can solo the ICE QUEEN DEATHWORM caves on Ragnarok with one DireBear (5000HP and 600%melee.)
