Dino control?
I'm new to the game and just tamed some dilophosaur, is there a way I can "control" them like telling them to stay in place?

You can use the radial wheel to set a lot of options on them. Walk up to it and hold 'E'. This will bring up a menu. From there you can adjust it's Aggression level, whether or not it follows you, how close it should follow, how close enemies have to get before it tries to attack them along many other things. You can also control them with whistle commands, however I play on Xbox and can't give you controls for those you'd have to look at your controls settings, a guide, it wait for a PC player to answer.

I can bring up that menu but when I aim at something (options for instance) it doesn't do anything.

Sorry. As a console player I can't help you troubleshoot that.

Ok, thanks for the help anyways.

The whistle controls do work... I gues I have to learn those by hard.

For the radial menu, hold E to bring it up then mouse click on the option you want. That'll navigate the various menus in there.

Also, try to get a feel for tame order groups. In the radial menu (or on a tab in the inventory screen) you can add a particular dino, or a group of dinos, to an order group. The numbers are 0 to 9, and correspond to the numbers on the numpad. Then if you press 1 and whistle a command, only the tames from group 1 will execute that command, and other groups will remain immobile.

You can also organize your tames by groups so your whistles don't affect everything within hearing range. I forget the button to open the tame group menu but if you access your Tribe menu ('L' for me, but that may not be the default), the tame groups menu is the icon of the dinosaur footprint centered at the top of your screen. From there, you can choose your "active group" (i.e. the group of tames that are affected by your whistles).

Thanks, the problem was I thought you just had to hover over it and let go just like with acces inventory. And I will check out tame groups.
