Question about helmet wearing pets

Do the helmets get damaged on the pets when in combat? Not sure how it works, or if it works like saddles.

As far as I can remember they would take damage the same as if You were wearing them

it works as saddles for the defense score. (in fact it's more like saddle work the same way for defense score as armor). as for the durability i must admit i never tested personnaly if it's the same rates or not. i guess it's must depend on the dino income damage rate (if you modify it in serveur settings, or if the pet has a special income damage depending where it's hit).

Alright, thanks. Never bothered using helmet wearing pets in combat, so I wasn't sure.

monkeys rocks x) you can often more easily get a good helmet than saddle for a specific dino. and helmet also works for you. but even big monkeys kind to take a lot of damage from big dinos (they hit strong though!!) so lvl up hp and melee imo ^^ with a mastercraft flak helmet it's a war beast (and if you can breed it it's even more x))

Yeah helmets on pets work the same way as helmets on players. But helmets often get more armor than saddles in high quality, so they can give some decent protection. Just avoid running into any arthroplurea, they melt through armor like butter.
