How to increase drop quality?

I dont want to increase difficulty because obviously that would increase levels, (i think) but i have been playing on my private server since like march or april and 1 mastercraft weapon has been found in a red drop. everything else is at best apprentice (if we're very lucky). i was watching ark videos earlier and a guy mentioned that he changed it with a command. what command is that?

Red drops are not that great. The best gear is found in the deep sea loot crates.

If you mean loot crate/beacon/sky drop quality, you can change it via game.ini (also deep sea crates and bosses). There's also an unofficial app called "Beacon" that has a nice UI to automate the editing process.

EDIT: There's probably a new setting/slider to adjust quality overall (IIRC, read some recent patch notes ?), but I just adjust the drops directly.

I'll have to check if my online server has this slider. Didn't notice it. I started playing with beacon enhancer MOD. Other ones are too out dated . Would like to not need mods. They break too often. And my friends want to play on Ragnarok. Anyone have a good loot spawn override I could mooch off of :steamhdappy:

There is a new server launch parameter for dedicated servers. Just add ?SupplyCrateLootQualityMultiplier=5.0 to the command line.
That works for me and instead of stupid dual compass blueprints, I get saddles and stuff.

The app I suggested isn't a MOD, you'd have to customize your own loot crates. And see comments above, there is a new parameter indeed :P I'd still not use it though, vanilla drops doesn't suck only because of loot quality :p

Like I said, that setting won't change it. What it'll change is the quality of the blueprints/parts you get. Like from apprentice->mastercraft, etc.

thats fine with me, as i said in the original post, we have only got 1 mastercraft thing on the 3 or 4 months the server has been up.

Supply loot quality is what ur looking for but be careful a minor adjustment jacked up the rewards immensely
